Date: October 2nd, 2024
We have a couple hunters this week and they've been greeted with warm and windy weather which isn't great for hunting once October roles around. We've had some action with the elk but it's been hot one day and not much going on the other days. We had some close calls and saw lots of elk but the rut seems to be just past it's peak by a day or two and when the bulls aren't bugling, it's hard to set up on them when the winds switching back and forth. It was 55 degress this morning here along the river with winds not sure which way it wants to blow. Tomorrow and Friday could be our best days of the week for weather so hopefully we can make something happen.
