Another season in the books here at Montana Whitetails. Overall the season went well however the archery deer hunting was tough in the early season. The elk hunting in September was still good as the rut had the bulls moving despite the warm temperatures. Rifle elk went well and the November deer hunting was exceptional. Here are some stats for this season.
We had 11 Archery elk hunters during bow season with 8 shot opportunities and 3 elk harvested.
We had 13 Archery whitetail hunters with 9 shot opportunities and 6 deer harvested.
We had 21 rifle elk hunters during rifle season with 15 shot opportunities and 11 elk harvested.
We had 11 rifle whitetail hunters with 8 shot opportunities and 5 whitetail bucks harvested.
We had 5 rifle mule deer hunters with 5 shot opportunities and 5 mule deer bucks harvested.
