Some good whitetails have been showing up now and the guys got a couple bucks. The 10 point was shot and then 2 bigger bucks come by afterwards. That sometimes seems to happen quite often but you just never know. Some other close calls last week with a big herd bull hit at 350 yards with a .300 but not recovered. A few other really close calls with 3 different good bucks that slipped through the cracks. One elk hunter from this week got it done on his first morning! The weather is fairly warm and the elk aren't moving much but they saw a few on another property this morning and the top of the mountain was loaded with fresh elk tracks in the snow from yesterday. Hope the snow coming Wednesday helps but it's only calling for a dusting and not suppose to be real cold.
